Posted by Brad Pineau on December 12th, 2003 at 7:54 pm AST [3568 views] My good friend (and coding buddy), Ron Myers, has finally put up his own weblog, All About the System. It's been a couple of months in the works, but he finally found enough time in between working to get it up.
Ron is a local Islander, working for a Nova Scotian business intelligence firm, The Bitz Inc, and he also owns an IT company, Thinking Big.
So head on over to All About the System and check it out. And don't forget to update your news aggregators, as Ron should have some great articles. [10 replies]

Over the weekend, I gave the Bloggerman website a new look. I thought it would be nice to have a new, fresh layout, and I wanted to move away from the old grey... and I've always liked sites that have an all-white background.
I was playing with the layout in Photoshop... and I had the text exactly how I wanted. I was using a Verdana font with Smooth anti-aliasing... oh how I wish web browsers could render text with anti-aliasing... it looks so nice and smooth and sharp. I'll have to settle with a plain Verdana font for now.
Something that has been driving me nuts about the layout... for some reason, in Mozilla Firebird 0.7, whenever you go to any particular page, the page will randomly render twice the width as it should be, and the side menu will stretch out to like 600 pixels instead of the usual 300 pixels. Then, if you click refresh, the page will render as normal. Can any Firebird users shed some light on what's going on here? [39 replies]
