I find it funny and a little sad that everyone is after Orlando Bloom(poor, poor Orlando Bloom...). Sure, he's hott, but...it's a little sad that you guys are all freaking out because it's rated R. I probably won't be allowed to see it, and even though I agree that there is a great cast and it probably will be a great movie, I'm not screaming at Warner Brothers. Plus, I've found it very annoying that when I go to see a good movie (Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean etc.) there is always some little teenie bopper sitting in the row in front of me squealing whenever Orlando Bloom's face pops up on the scream. I saw Troy and let me tell you something:ORLANDO BLOOM SUCKS!His performance is terrible, almost ruins the film.Even Brian Cox, who is a little over the top in this picture, was much better than him.

Hey everyone. I just saw Troy, and I have to say I am really disapointed. First off, Orlando Bloom's character was horrible (sry Orli). I really hate that Orlando played that part. I'm sick of him playing the loverboy roles. The movie seemed to be missing something, and it is not at all like the book. So much detail is left out. The fighting scenes are stupid. Helen of Troy was a horrible actress for she had no emotions. Eric Bana was the best, I have to say. I cried when he died. Brad Pitt coulda been better. On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 highest) I give this movie a 4. So don't feel too bad if u don't see it. This is only my opinion tho. I know many will disagree with me, and that's ok.

I think he played the coward really well especially during the scene where he was fighting Melanus, and he "chickened out" and crawled back to Hector.
By the way, I was reading a newspaper article that was comparing the book to the movie. Here are some of the flaws just in case ne one is interested...
1. Achilles is dead long before the Trojan Horse scene in the book. In the movie he was INSIDE the Horse
2. Wolfgang Peterson added to Paris' cowardlyness in the movie. He wasn't this cowardly in the book.
3. Achilles is much more ruthless in the book. H goes around raping huge amounts of women and kills babies. This isn't postrayed in the movie.

I have tons more, but I have to read the article to get the rest. It's fun to compare the movie to the book.
